Account and Contact relationship issue

Hi,

I created one account in IC web.in assaignment block Relationships i assaigned relationship "Has the employee responsible "

i assaigned partner id(employee).here system filled valid from and todate by default

it is filled values valid from date as 01/01/0001

valid to date as 12/31/9999

i am not able to edit these valid from date and to date in relationships

can u please explain how to change these dates

currently working on CRM 7.0

Hi Kishore,

The validity period for "Contact Person" relationship in CRM is not supported. It is disabled by default. The reason for this is

certain partner function assignments are not time-dependent and the validity period of such relationships cannot be

considered by the automatic partner determination in the CRM applications.

A possible work around could be, create a custom relationship category and then adjust the value of 'Time Constraint' in BUBA.

Please do not change the SAP standard categories, because it would not work and might cause inconsistancies.

Within the context of maintaining the Business Partner Relationships, the Start date and End date have no discernable meaning. You can essentially hide them. There is no reason you want to change them. Are you expecting it behave differently by changing these dates or you want to change them just like that?

Hi,

Please create a Z relationship category, and then adjust the 'TIME CONSTRAINT' setting in BUBA.

Then for your Z relationship category, the validity would be editable.

It is never recommanded to change the SAP standard BP relationship categories, because there are logics hardcoded based on the category.
