Hi,
does anyone know why I can't manage to CIF work centers from R/3 with individual capacities to APO ?
Are there functionalities available in APO where resources with multiple individual capacities are used ?
Thanks for any info.
Regards,
Kristof.
Hi Kristof,
1) As mentioned by mohan, you need to define your settings in CFC9
for resources
2) In ECC work center, under number of individual capacities as
multiple numbers as per your requirement to classify the work
centre as multiple which will be used during ciffing.
3) Under APO resource tab, you need to define whether SNP
relevant or not (accordingly, the system decides the work
centre to be considered as multiactivity or multimixed resource)
4) Also check the below link for integration of resources whether
all the relevant settings are maintained for ciffing to ensure proper
ciffing.

Hi,
When you CIF workcenter with number individual capacity more than one and can be used by sevral operations. Systems CIFs it as multi mixed resource. In time continuous tab you will get nuber of capacity as whatever maintained in ECC.
System allows to schedule number activites at at time= number of individual capacitys if you do finite scheduling with finite scheduling strategy.

Hi, make sure your capacity record in ECC is set up with the "Relevant to finite scheduling" flag set and if required the "Can be used by several operations" flag which defines a multi mixed resource.

Hi Christof,
I think there is no direct way of working with the Individual capacities in APO. But you can still work with capacity available in ECC by transferring the workcentre capacities as external capacities. You might consider to generate the capacities in ECC rather than the usual method of generating the capacities in APO. For this you have to chose option 'X' or 'A' for Use External Capacity indicator in CFC9 in ECC and also set the External Capacity Indicator for the APO data in the capacity header data in ECC so that system generates the capacities in ECC and use them in APO.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
We can use the Core Interface (CIF) to transfer work centers from the R/3 system to SAP APO. In SAP APO, the system creates resources for each capacity category of the work center (such as employee or machine).
In SAP R/3, we can define parameters (such as the resource category), which are not available in SAP R/3 but which are required in SAP APO. We can also include them in the first capacity transfer.
Hope this gives insight.

Hi,
thanks for this quick answer. However, I would like to work with different individual capacities on one capacity category (machine) on a work center. In R/3 these are defined via the detail screen of the capacity category (in my case 001 Machine), and then choose 'Go to -> individual capacities'.
Any idea how this could be CIFfed ?
Thanks for any input !
Kristof.
