Hello,
I'm having a problem with the crystal reports version that comes with visual studio 2008 - using .NET 2.0.
Our software is used by many clients each having their own database settings and so we give Crystal Reports the connection parameters programmatically. This has worked absolutely fine for about 6 or 7 months since we have started using CR. However last week one of our clients reported they were being presented with a database logon prompt when trying to view one of our reports (note, just one, the rest worked as normal). After much head scratching we finally were able to reproduce the error by running our software on a machine without visual studio or sql server installed. However, again it was just that report.
We had absolutely no idea what to do and so we opted to just put it down to an oddity and the developer reproduced the report again and that version again worked as it should.
Unfortunately it has happened again to a report I produced on a different computer and I produced that report by copying another (which works) and making some alterations. We need to get this solved as otherwise it is going to hinder our development progress quite significantly if we have to reproduce reports from scratch because something is failing for some unknown reason.
