Remove/delete duplicate cash flows on facility

Former Member

Hi all

Due to a error in SAP std, for a facility a number of duplicate commision flows are created when drawing a contract against a facility. The issue is solved with the implementation of SAP note 1389873 so no more duplicates are created. Is there a way that I can remove/delete/reset a spesific cashflow manually? I would like to avoid to have a it removed directly from the table(s)

Hi,

The duplication occured due to a program error and SAP have issued solution with correction. Why you look for changing the cash flow manually? It is not recommended to remove any flows directly from standard tables as it may create inconsistency in the database becasue you will be removing a flow from single master table, wereas the same flow was updated in many other treasury tables while creating the transaction.

Hence, it is not adivisable to use a custom method to remove any flows directly and always use standard functions as provided by SAP.

Hi and thanks for your answer. The problem that the solution from SAP only avoide additional duplicate flows. It does not fix those that are already duplicated. and yes I agree, deleting directly in the table(s) are risky and not advisible. That is way, my question is if there are a standard way to remove/delete cashflows with status flagged for posting?

Hi,

OK, since SAP given solution for avoiding creation of new flows, it should work with change mode of transaction as well. Try to reset the flows in trasaction if the flows are still scheduled. You cannot seperate flows with same date & update type from activity posting/marked as posting. TBB1_LC can be used for marking flows as fixed. Also, there is a function for reversing flows from Cash flow tab of transaction for money market products. Please check that as well.

And finally, the possible solution will be reverse the entire transaction and create a new one instead.

"Try to reset the flows in trasaction if the flows are still scheduled" Using which transaction?

"TBB1_LC can be used for marking flows as fixed." What is the consequence of a flow marked as fixed?

Hi

For first one use the common change Tcode - FTR_EDIT or specific TCode for Change Transaction.

The impact of TBB1_LC is that it will not post any flows to GL/Accounting and same time change the status of the flow = F (Fixed). This means that the flows will remain with the transaction in cash flows without affecting your respective GL balances. This program generally used during data migration where single balances are uploaded in GL manually and respective multiple flows created at Treasury are marked as posted.

Thanks a lot Prasad. TBB1_LC was the function I was looking for.
