cost element

Hello:

When i use ME21N to craete PO i assign K to Acct there is an error message

"Create account 400010 for 11.05.2010 as a cost element in controlling area 1000

Diagnosis

Account 400010 is a profit and loss account. You assigned it to an object in cost accounting (for example, a cost center, order, or project).

System Response

Account 400010 in the determined controlling area 1000 must exist as a cost element on the posting date 11.05.2010.

Procedure

Create account 400010 as a cost element and then repeat your posting.

Or, delete auxiliary account assignment to objects in cost accounting."

And i want to know how to Create account 400010 as a cost element?

Dear Kim

Go to T.Code KA01 , given your controlling area, and provide the GL account number 400010 in the cost element field.

Then provide the Valid from and To date.
