I am looking into creating a hierachy for the sole purpose of managing capacity at one level.
In our facility we have the following work centers 100, 200, 201, and 300. I want to manage capacity at one level. Is there a way that I can use CR12 and manage available from the hierarchy created called "SHT MTL" (sheet metal)?
Or is it required that I create the work center "SHT MTL" for capacity purposes even though I do not plan to use "SHT MTL" as an actual Work center used in a routing? (therefore, SHT MTL would be like a phantom work center that really is not physically used)
I would rather state in CR12 that "SHT MTL" has available 22 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. Instead of either updating CR12 on WC 100, 200, 300, and making 201 look overloaded and no capacity templates for 100, 200, and 300. If 201 was my Superior Work center and hierarchy name.
Or is there a way to create in CR11 "SHT MTL" and pool capacity of 100, 200, 300, and 201 without actually maintaining the available intervals for each of these work centers?
Please advise the best way to do this without creating unnecessary work centers and having to maintain intervals for each one of these work centers for available capacity.
Thanks.
