SOLMAN_SETUP E:000 error

After the installation of SOLMAN EHP1 with SID SOL, i started the transaction in 001 client SOLMAN_SETUP ,

in the web interface while doing the initial configuration in technical configuration step , i am getting e:000 error .

Before that i was getting "system SOL does not exist" to resolve this i tried to add SOL system under solution manager systems in SMSY .After the addition of SOL in SMSY , it fetched the data after two hours with no message server /port etc and error changes to " No host for system SOL" . i further deleted the SOL system from SMSY and now i am getting E:000 error .

any ideas , anything which i need to configure or check before doing the initial configuration.?

I still have problem after I have check my SLD with Tcode SMSY.

I have deleted all the ECC6 system =PROD, QAS and DEV system in my SMSY.

Then manually try to create a solman system(ASM) in SMSY and then retry the Solman_setup > Initial Config-> Technical Setting. I still get the same error "System SID does not exist" E000".

What is the requirement to setup SLD in SOLMAN?

TMS for my ECC6 --> DEV,QAS & PRD must be configured before I can do this?

Actually all I want is to setup the Maintenance Optimizer.

Can someone list down all the steps what I need to do to setup the Maintenace Optimizer?

Thanks.

Hi,

I also got the same error while configuring the initial configuration. I resolved it by configuring my domain controller from tcode STMS.

You need to setup domain controller for your SOLMAN system and for other installed systems; use the same domain controller. Then, while doing initial configuration there will be no error. (No need to change anything in smsy, it will automatically fetch data after initial configuration).

Hope, it helps!

Hi,

I have come across this issue and below things would be handy for resolving the same.

1. Have you applied permanent license for Solman EhP1 Instance

2. Have you created SOLMAN_ADMIN user(u may give your desired user name) in initial configuration and executed the solman_setup for rest of the configuration with that user

3. Delete all the entries in SMSY and perform the SOLMAN_SETUP it should work.

Please update the status

I have started doing these instructions , for further information i would like to share that ...i installed solman EHP 1 (SID SOL) with local sld configuration.

Well , as i deleted the SOL ( solution manager SID) system from the SMSY , it comes again in incomplete details after few minutes maybe due to automatic discovery of the SLD . It seems there is some issue with SLD configuration itself .

So i check the LDCHECK which gave me error " RFC destination SAPSLDAPI does not exist => Create the RFC destination by using transaction SM59! "

Before i was creating a RFC for above error i tried to check the status of the SLD through : http://hostname:5000/sld ..............

and this does not open anything expect blank page with change in URL to " http://hostname:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsldwd~main/Main "

Again mentioning that SOL is the SID of the solution manager with local SLD and i have not configured anything expect trying to run solman_setup after the fresh installation.

Hello,

If you are manually defining the system SOL in SMSY, please remember you need to also have the Server, Database defined in SMSY. Specifiying them in the definition for the SOL system doesn't create the entries, so ensure they are also defined in SMSY and not just referenced in the system declaration for SOL.

I hope this information is helpful.

thanks for discussion , however does i need to check any prerequisite for the initial config as no sap document says to manually define the solution manager system itself in its own SLD.

Also , when i tried to define the solman system in smsy the message server and instance fields are blank and i am not able to select as the select button in not active ( grey)

The Solman_setup > Initial Configuration creates a logical component and the SID for the solution manager will be included.

If the solution manager system is not defined, how can the logical be assigned to a system? Solution Manager is in the system lanscape. It needs to be defined. If it is not in the SLD, it needs to be defined manually in SMSY.

Keep in mind to make changes you need to be in change/edit mode.

I hope this information is helpful.

HI,

You can create a system in SMSY, then provide all information manually like hostname and DB.

For error "host not found", make sure instance is assigned in instance tab. After correctly definiing steps try again.

Just have a look here also:
