ITS works in ABAP stack or JAVA stack

Hi,

I'm going to create a webgui link to use the GUI HTML. If we are using the ITS service, when the user calls the link whether it will pass directly through the ABAP stack or it will pass through JAVA stack?

We are using Netweaver 7.0.
