Hi everyone,
I am running a SRM 7.0.
In the portal I created an RFx with several questions an distributed it to a certain supplier. This supplier can open the invitation to the RFx, participate and create a bid. But inside the bid, the questions to the RFx are not visible. Questions on "Item"-tab are visible and enabled after clicking on "Details" -> "Questions"-tab, but cannot be answered, e.g. the answer will not be saved.
Any recommendations on that?
Thanks a lot for any help.
TT
But inside the bid, the questions to the RFx are not visible.
When you defined the questions, did you define them as "public"?

After you saved the bid response, did you check to see if the answers are there through BBP_PD transaction?

I defined the whole rfx as "public rfx". is there another special adjustment needed to define the questions as public?
You would have to define the attributes(questions) themselves as "public". This can be done in SPRO -> SRM Server -> RFx -> Questions -> Process dynamic attributes. For each attribute there, there is a column for "public/private" definition.
Hi Jay,
thanks for your help. Unfortunately all questions in "SPRO -> SRM Server -> RFx -> Questions -> Process dynamic attributes" are defined as public. "Comment" is also checked.
Again:
- supplier can see questions if he opens the rfx on tab "rfx information" -> "questions"
- supplier takes part in rfx and creates a bid
- supplier can not see general questions in the bid on tab "rfx information" -> "questions"
- supplier can see item based questions. He can edit and answer the questions but the answer is not saved upon clicking on "save" or "submit".
Thanks for any help.

I think these two are connected. The answers are not saved in Bid Response, so the supplier doesn't see it. I would check the following:
1) In SPRO, SRM Server -> Cross Application Basic Settings -> Extensions and Field Control -> Configure Field Control : Make sure the Question related fields are not hidden for object type BUS2202, Bid Response.
2) Deactivate implementation for BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI if you have an active implementation.
Then re-test the scenario.
Sorry, now I am lost.
I don't find any of the fields listed in table BBP_PDDYN in either of the customizing steps in SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Extendsions and Field Control (Personalization) -> Configure Field Control :
- Display Standard Metadata Table for Header Fields
- Configure Control for Fields on Header Level
- Display Standard Metadata Table for Item Fields
- Configure Control for Fields on Item Level
- Display Standard Metadata Tables for Substructure Fields
- Configure Control for Fields of Substructures
Could you please give one example where to find an element of BBP_PDDYN in those Customizing steps?
Thanks for your help so far.
BR,
TT
Sorry for confusing you. If it is possible, go to transaction BBP_PD, find the Bid Invitation(RFQ) and display it. Scroll down to "Dynamic Attributes" section, make a screenshot. Then with the same transaction, find and display the Quotation(Bid Response). Make another screenshot of the "Dynamic Attributes" section. Either publish the screenshots somewhere so that I can see or send them to me as attachment in an email.
I'd recommend that you check the following:
1) Even though it might sound irrelevant, implement note 0001466341 Fixed values for Questions dissappear in RFX anyway. It's applicable for all SPs of SRM 7. I think it is resolving some general problems regarding questions in RFx/Response.
2) If the bid invitation has changed, e.g. new questions are created AFTER your bid response was created, you have to click on "Edit" of the bid response in order to see the new questions.
3) If your questions are "fixed values", i.e. the bidders are suppose to see dropdown list of selections for the answer, you MUST enter "description" when you create the fix values in RFx. Otherwise, the bidder would see blank drop down list.
Let me know if you have any further development regarding this matter.
Dear Mr. Tolksdorf,
can you please check note 1455486 for your test system and afterwards try with a totally new document?
Please ignore my last answer. I checked again and as far as i could see the behavior mentioned is already at the initial opening of the document.
Can you please provide your SRM support package stack?
Best regards,
Georg

Hi
i dont know much but check
Note 1466341 - Fixed values for Questions dissappear in RFX
You create a Rfx and add a text question from the library which already has fixed values present. Then try to view the details of the question to check the defined fixed values. You will notice that the fixed values disappear due to which only the "Manual Valuation" function is available in the dropdown of weighting functions in weight tab of RFX.
Other terms
Valuation of fixed atributes, dynamic attributes, Rfx, /SAPSRM/IF_PDO_DO_DYNATTRI, GET_ATTRIBUTE_FROM_CUST, /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_BO_RFQ
Reason and Prerequisites
This is because of program Error. The fixed values were overwritten by the customizing where there is no option to define fixed values.
Solution
Please implement the attached correction instructions or import relevant support package.
