Hello All,

While creating PO for non stock material from where system will pick the price?

If info record is there from where it will pick, if info record is not there then from where it will pick like that...

If existing PO is there or not

if existing contract is there or not

For non stock material should we maintain the material master or ?

Please advise me

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Non-Stock material means it is both not valuated and not stockable.

Material type for this NLAG. In OMS2 you can see that both value and qty updating will not be ticked.

You can create material using this material type NLAG.

Material master is optional for non-stockable material.

Account assignment P.O is mandatory for non-stockable material.

Price will be picked from Info record if it exists or from other P.O or from contract which is similar to consumption material.

For non valuated material, material master is required or?

As per my knowledge material master is mandatory only for stock materials. not for not valuated and non stock materials usually we never maintain master data for non stock and non valuated materials

if i am wrong please advise me

Its upto you if you want maintain material master record or not for non valuated material. With material master you have a material code to input in the field of PO, without material master you put in short text.

a material master is mandatory if you need to store stock.

you do not necessarily need one if you procure for direct consumption.

But the main purpose of a master data is to get defaults to other transactions, you dont need to maintain data multiple times, and you have a consistent reporting.
