Hi Experts,

when i try to execute the query in bex analyzer, i am getting the below error

Formal error in query definition (DIM <->FROM [NAV]

Query couldnot be opened

please tell me am i missing any settings in query designer

Hi,

You should start by checking your query definition thoroughly. Do you use any formulas, filters on navigational attributes, ...?

Symptom

Changing of a reusable Filter may cause the error message BRAIN 449 with the text "Formal error in query definition (DIM <-> FROM[NAV])" during generation or execution of the queries containing this Filter in the definition.

I think there is some problem with any of the formula or calculated key figure. Open the query in query designer and check all the formulas and calculated key figures.

You can also try generating the query in RSRT. RSRT --> Give query name --> click on "Generate Report".
