hi there, I've just installed IDES ECC 6.0 and everything goes fine, but I can't log on to my Java Server
I open the web with URL http://<hostname_of_J2EE_Engine_Server>:5<Instance_Number>00 and everything is fine, it shows me the index page of the Web Application Server, then i try to log on to Administrator or User Management and i can't log on!
I'm following the Master Installation Guide, and it says the user J2EE_JAVA has been created in AS Java, but I cant log on with my master Password. I tried to log on the the AS ABAP and this user doesn't exist there either.
Could you tell me with which user could I log on into the AS Java Server? I tried with SAPServiceXXX, xxxadm, where xxx is my host.
the only user i could log on with is ASDUSER, but it has no authorization to use the Netweaver Administrator.
Any ideas how to log on?
Thanks.
Hi,
In an installation of ABAP+JAVA systems, the default j2ee user is J2EE_ADMIN and not the other ones that you have mentioned.

Can you please also mention the exact error it gives you? Is it not accepting your password or is it not showing anything after login?
I must mention that when an ABAP+JAVA system is installed, the users are actually stored in the ABAP database. So, if you login to the default initial java client (001), you can find the j2ee_admin user in SU01. Make sure that this user is not locked and that it has the role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN (if you cant find this in role, try group, but its definitely one of them).
Let me know of further details.

Hello Kuatroka,
You may need to activate the SAP* user.
Please refer to the instructions in this documentation:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/3a/4a0640d7b28f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Once activated, you should be able to log onto the identity management and unlock the j2ee_admin user
or create other users. Then de-active the sap user when you are done.
Hope this helps you.

Shimon

Hi Kuatroka
Reset userid password and check the assigned roles for the user.
then Update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file) and then check it.
Hope it helps

Arun
