CMC Destination Message and File Name not updating

I'm still learning Crystal Server. I have several reports I've made modifications to the Message and File Name in the Destination Section of the Default settings in the CMC. None of my changes are taking affect. The report still runs fine but those items do not update. I can make the changes take place if I delete the report and reset everything up from scratch. The only problem is people ask me to make changes and it's too time consuming to start from scratch every time. Could someone let me know if I'm missing something.

When a report is scheduled, it creates an instance. These instances do not go back and read from the default destination settings everytime they run. The default settings are only used when a new schedule is created. These default settings populate the window for the enduser so less info is required to be entered at schedule time.

The reason for this is pretty simply. Let's say you have 5 instances created under 1 main report. Each instance is scheduled to go to a different destination on purpose. An example would be to send this to different users in different regions. If each recurring instance looked to the default settings each time before it scheduled, all 5 report instances would be identical.

In XI 3.1, there is a new feature called 'reschedule' which allows you to make changes to a recurring instance and overwrite the previous. So if an email recipient needs to be removed or the destination needs to change, you don't have to stop & delete the old recurring instance. You only need to modify the existing.
