MB51 Report

Hi experts,

I want to get the Consumption report through MB51.I want to do the analysis for the Department how much item they have issued through Workorder & how much through MB21 (Direct Reservation).Now the problem i am facing in MB51 is,I am not able to get the report for that perticular department because i am not finding any selection criteria for that neither costcenter,Planner group etc.Can you tell me how to narrow the selection for that department.if i am running whole report it is taking too much time

Hello Amit,

I got your problem actually those field are hide under the SPRO settings.

Follow this path

SPRO -> Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Reporting->Define Field Selection for Material Document List

After clicking you will get the screen just click on S tab infront of order and cost center.

Now these fields will available in MB51 and MB59.

Unless you develop a custom report, however way you execute the standard reports, you will have to execute it twice, or apply two different filters to the output list. Once to get the GI against cost center and once to get the GI against the Order (Associated to the Department / Cost center).

In order to get the GI's against the cost center you could execute the MB51 report for movement type 201(And any other custom movement type ) and then filter the output by the required cost center.

In order to get the GI's against the order you could execute the IW3M report and use the the extended selection of the Order number to select only the orders associated to the specific planner group and then execute the same.

Hi,

I agree to the points mentioned by Narasimhan, that you need to run the report twice, one for orders & one for cost center material issues. Just to avoid getting the report on movement type 201 & then filtering the list, I indicated the transactio MB59.

I am not sure why Amit is not getting cost center field in transaction MB59.

I am in ECC6.0 with PLM extension activated.

Not sure if this has any impact on the field selection in the report.

Check if field selection / selection variant is creating the problem.

Under Item Data in MB59, I have below fields in given sequence for selecting the material documents:

Material

Plant

Storage Location

Batch

Vendor

Customer

Movement Type

Special Stock

Order

Cost Center

WBS Element

Here you have order selection as well as cost center selection to serve your requirement.

Hi Amit,

From MB51 you can get the material issued both against PM Order & Cost Center. And it can be found out by just specifying movement types.

If you mention the movement type as 201 it means all documents displayed will be for Cost Center (i.e. direct reservatiion through MB21) and if selected movement type is 261 it means all docs displayed will be for PM Orders.

For getting less time to run report please filter the data by entering slections like Plant, Movement type, etc.

I am not able to get the report for that perticular department?.....Which department you are talking about?... for which spares are issued or Inventory department who issued the spares...

Hi Sundar,

Department means in our plant there are 100 Department with Different-2 costcenter.if i am running the report by entering the Plant it takes too much time.Can you tell me how to get the consumption report costcenter wise etc.If i am going through MB25 report here i am not able to select the posting date.

In MB59 also there is no selection criteria for costcenter.

My main requirement is want to see the report which show me how many items issued through direct reservation and how many items though PM order.Please suggest me any good report.i am talking about the material issued by enduser from warehouse suppose i am enduser and i want to see how many items i have issued through direct reservation & and how many through the PM orders ( in any perticular Month).

Cost center selection is certainly there in MB59.

I wonder, how you are not able to find it.

It is there in item data selection group in MB59.

Hi Amit,

I am not sure about cost center oriented report, but there in MB51 we can get the cost center against each document.

Please go to Current Icon after executing MB51 and select the Cost Center in layout.

Once refer the report IW3M also.

From here you will get whatever the components movements occur against order

Hello Amit,

Do one thing just restrict the report with movement type (261) and Material Type (ERSA-Spares) because in Maintenance we generally use ERSA type.

And one more thing you can also do one thing in MB51 we also have the field order number, you can check by that also.

Otherwise we also have a report IW3L

check this. this will meet your requirement.
