Hey All,

i have two requirements from the client...want to clarify the doubts :

1st)

if the employee takes the advance salary in month of april and pays back in next two/three months.

where the enteries will come when we pay the employee that advance in month of april.

on the earnings side or deduction side.

2nd)

travel expenses which are given to an marketing employee

but these travel expenses are not a part of payroll ?

how will they hit FICO from hr side ?

looking forward for your replies.

THANX.

Hi Neha,

1. I think u asking about salary advance, if so, Salary advance comes under deduction, here some part of the salary will be paid before the salary date to the employee, this amount will be deducted during the payroll run and remaining salary will be paid. Say for the april month the employee salary is 10,000, say 3000 is paid in advance, then remaining will paid on the april.

2. I am not sure

Advance Salaries will come in the Earnings side and for the same create a wage type Recovery of advace salary which is a deduction of the advance given by the employer to the employee

Travel Expenses can be maintained in two way one is with the integration of pay roll and posting them to the FICO

another one implementing the Travel Management module and integration Travel Managment with FICO

so check above two scenarios
