Add Sy-Datum and Sy-Uname in (CreationDate and CreatedBy) Fields of Z Table

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement:

Whenevr we insert a record in the ZTABLE, It will update Creation Date as sy-datum , Created By as Sy-uname.

I dont want to do it through Table Maintenance Generator (EVENTS).

I heard about using Change Poinetrs or using Workflows.

Please suggest which one is better and how to do that?

And also if their is any other way to do this.

Please do the needful.
