Update SPL tables with the new fields

We are using SAP Version 4.7 and implemented SPL in year 2004, since then SPL is receiving values from FI.

We added two new fields to Partner Profit Center and Transaction type to SPL object, totals, actuals and planned tables and also maintained the field movements for these fields.

Now in the cut over plan at the time of going live I will Execute program RGZZGLUX to carry out a complete generation of the FI-SL system and then Update all FI-SL Programs by running program RGBCFL00. Running these programs is not updating the transaction values in the tables with partner profit center and transaction type.

Is there any program that will help in updating the transactions also.

One thing I could figure out is to use T-code GCDE to delete the historical data and then re-import it using T-code GCU1. Is this the correct process?
