Can SAP CCO read the bar code which might contain the item code, weight, unit price and total price?

We have a potential customer where their line of business is supermarkets, petrol or gas stations and wholesale.

With regards to their supermarket business, the barcode for meat will come from the weighting scale.

Can SAP Customer Checkout correctly read the bar code generated by the weighting scale which might contain the item code, weight, unit price and total price?

Hello everyone,

I would apprecciate if you could please send me the demo plugin?

Dear CCO-Ecosystem,

we have customers internationally with the following scenarios:

  • product label printed from customers scale
  • product label printed from supplier
  • product label by customer but with fixed price

So our plugin „understands“ which scenario is used and applied.

The barcode could look as follows:

In this case, the left side of the barcode 2805412 is SBO ItemCode and the right side 001908 is the sales price plus the EAN 13 control digit.

If you want this ready-to-use-plugin for your customers, feel free to contact us:

Hello,

We developed a small demo plugin to show that you can scan ArticleID?Quantity then this is added as accordingly (Article + Quanity) in the sales screen.
We will bring this PlugIn in our PartnerEdge page soon(expected end of April 2021) and provide a link here so that everyone who has access to partnerEdge can download the PlugIn sample. Sharing via email is not possible anymore.

Hope it helps.

Is there already a solution to create a data connection between the scale and the cco?

So that the customer is able to send data from the scale to cco without scanning?

Best regards,

Hello Elena,

Unfortunately the published plugin says its "for Old Retail UI only."

Are you planning to provide a sample for the new UI modes as well?

Thanks and best regards,

Joerg.

Hello Rowell,

thank you for your comment.

We are currently busy with our release for SAP Customer Checkout 2.0 Feature Pack 12 which will be delivered in July 2021.
Once the release is delivered, we will proceed with other topics such as the barcode plug-in :-).

Same question here. I am trying to read the price from the barcode but I can't find any resources on how to do that.
As for quantity, this worked for me:

   @PluginAt(method = "addSalesItemToReceipt", pluginClass = ReceiptPosService.class, where = POSITION.BEFORE)
    public void beforeAddSalesItemToReceipt(Object caller, Object[] args, Object stack) {
    if (runok) {

        if (forcedQuantity.get() != null) {
            //Check the ThreadLocal which was set earlier. If a price was set, then the forth parameter is changed accordingly, since this holds the price for the sales item
            args[4] = forcedQuantity.get();
        }
    }
    }

Where
private ThreadLocal<BigDecimal> forcedQuantity = new ThreadLocal<>();
forcedQuantity.set(new BigDecimal(quantity));
