Validity date missing in F4-help of time dependant hierarchy

Hi Experts,

we are currently updating our BI from 3.5 to 7.00. During that process we found the following odd behaviour:

We have a variable in BEx to choose a hierarchy. This hierarchy is time and version dependent.

In BW3.5 we do get the validity date of the hierarchy in the F4-help for the variable, which enables the user to choose the right one.

In BW7.0 we do NOT get the validity date of the hierarchy in the F4-help for the variable, so the user has to guess which one is right.

Any ideas to solve this?

use the validity period by placing in default values or Free charcateristcs area in Query designer..it should work

Hi,

this is no issue when displaying the query, but when openening the F4 help of the variable screen. Therefore I can not use your advice.

but i have seen instances where F4 help will vary depending upon the fields used in the defualt values...

Sadly this note only deals with texts. Our texts are there, validity date of the hierarchy is still missing.
