Instance Manager problem

We have a problem with Instance Manager from CMC. When we go to the Instance Manager we only see instances on the first screen (we have more than 1000 instances). When we go to the second, third screens and so on, we see a blank list.

We are working with BOEXI 3.1 including fix pack 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and SP2.

Have you seen this issue before? How could we fix it?

Hello,

There is actually a known issue that is going to be Fixed in SP3 in regards of instance manager displaying successful instance that have been based on calendar events.

The issue is that the instance manager will start showing blank pages as soon as it hits one of these successful instances.

That might be the issue you are having.

We had the limitation concerning universes. This was the solution. Should help you also.

u201CInfostore can retrieve at the max 1000 universes & this is a design limitation.

This design limitation is due to the registry variable InfoStoredefaultTopNValue = 1000.

Registry entry InfoStoredefaultTopNValue= 1000 is a configurable parameter & hence it can be modified as follow:

1- Stop all the servers.

2- Go to Start>run>regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Business Objects>Suite 11.5>CMS>Instances>computername.cms

3- search for u201CInfoStoredefaultTopNValueu201D

4- Double click & change the value of this registry entry to whatever restriction you want: 10000 for example.

5- Restart all the servers.

If we change the registry entry then it will be reflected for all applications (Query builder, webi )u201D
