Dear All,
I'm planning to copy the Production client to Test System using TDMS.
I have created a Client in test system like 720, Can I make a local client copy from 000 with SAP_ALL profile and then proceed with TDMS client copy?
Please suggest.
Regards,
Raj

Dear Raj,
Well that would depend on the difference between the 2 copy profiles i.e. SAP_UCSV and SAP_ALL. This could better be explained by someone who is experienced in client copy. But with my limited knowledge about client copy, I would have to say that if SAP_ALL is used, then the deletion would take more time than in case of SAP_UCSV. The reason being that SAP_ALL would copy all the client data to the new client. Hence, it is recommended to use SAP_UCSV instead of SAP_ALL.
Kind Regards,
Suman

Hi Raj,
With SAP TDMS, you can either use an existing client as the receiver client, or create a new client to be used as the receiver client. If you want to use a new client, set it up by means of the client copy tool, profile SAP_UCSV (client-dependent customizing, users, authorization profiles and variants). This is necessary because data related to users and variants is not
transferred from the sender system to the receiver system, but this data is needed for working with the new client.
It is only required that the DDIC and cross-client customizing in the target system are the same as the sender / production system.
