Alignment of customizing after upgrade

Dear all,

I upgraded a CRM 4.0 system to CRM 7.0 EHP1

Now the developers / functional experts complain that the customizing is not complete in client 030

I told them that the new customizing entries are only available in client 000 after the upgrade and that these entries should be 'merged' in the client 030 by means of transaction SCU0

Days are passing and more and more customizing problems arise and I'm asked to find another way of aligning the customizing between client 000 and client 030

Do any of you know another way then SCU0 to do this?

CRM devs/functional want me to redo the upgrade transports specifying the client 030 as target but this seems completely unreasonable to me ...

this is doable if your CRM devs/functional assure that they made all of configuration using 'Z' prefix in

client 030

another approach would be

1) create a new client, 040 for example, copy everything from 000

2) transport ALL changes request they made in 030 into client 040, and conitnue customizing in 040 - you probably should use transport of copies to combine all of these transports.

3) You need adjust your TMS/CTS settings accordingly.

CRM 7.0 EHP1?! the Ramp-up is NOT started yet, how did you get it?

I don't see a way that you can just whole customizing automatically. usually consultant would use the "utilities" - "adjustment (s" menu while navigating the customizing in development. (same mechanism as SCU0), and then transport it through QA to production.

You'd refer the note 337623 to your colleagues.
