cancellation of cancellation invoice

Hi Gurus,

In STO scenario, I am facing the following issue.We have created the intercompany invoice with reference to this we have created the cancellation invoice but the cancellation invoice has taken excess value as compared to origjnal intercompany invoice.So business wants to cancel this cancellation invoice.As per SAP note 388489 we have the option to cancel the cancellation invoice.I have followed the steps mentioned in that note but sill i am unable to cancel the cancellatiion invoice.Please let me know how to rectify this issue.

Hi,

Cancellation of cancelled Invoice is not possible in SAP Standard. But as per the note( I had gone through this note), you can only cancel the cancelled Invoice which has not been released to accounting and that too you have to check If you have to implemen the notes "36317" and "331771". And on top of that you have to correct the program corrections to enable this. The best way is to convince the client to raise a Credit Memo for the particular Invoice/Order. Kindly please let me know If you need any more Information on this.

Hi Ram,

Thanks for your valuable feedback.we have tried the scenario in sandbox system there the correction instructions are already available in the system related to the notes(363717&331771), so we have changed the config settings of IVS by giving the reference cancellation invoice IGS and in the same way for IGS I have maintained IVS.But still we are unable to cancel the invoice.we have already tried to convince the client to raise a debitmemo for the excess value but the problem is eventhough if we raise the debit note the excess amount in cancellation invoice can't be settled.
