Stock posting of early lot created inspection lots

Dear Gurus,

I have a process order for which I'm assigning inspection type 04, with early lot creation.

I made the results recording and the usage decision, before confirming the process order.

When I confirmed the process order, the quantity was posted to quality inspection.

How can I post them to unrestricted?

Yep.. sorry.. that's how it works.

From SAP:

 'Y' An inspection lot for an early goods receipt inspection           
 This setting is only relevant for inspection lot origin 04.           
 An inspection lot with inspection lot origin 04 is created when a     
 production or process order is released. You can use this inspection  
 lot to inspect goods receipts of the finished quantities and then     
 manage them after goods receipt posting in the inspection lot stock.  
 Recommendation: Avoid making a usage decision for this type of early  
 inspection lot before any goods receipts have been posted. The usage  
 decision will then have a stock quantity of 0, but will not have the  
 status completely credited. This means that any following goods       
 receipts will be posted into the stock for this inspection lot. You   
 must then credit this lot from the stock quantity yourself, even if   
 you do not intend to perform further checks.                                                                                

You could remove the post to QI stock indicator if you want. Then the material goes to unrestricted all the time. yo ucan use the UD stock posting screen to move the materail from unrestricted to blocked stock later on should you find the lot fails.

Hi,

In UD screen itself you can do posting to unrestricted use.

In early inspection lot after doing GRN /confirmation of process order stock posting tab get appear in uasge decision screen..

Now u have done confirmation /GRN then again go in Qa32-- Select all inspection lot -- Usage decision -- you can finf stock relavent tab where u can post ur material to unrestricted use.

In inpspection type 04 for early inspection when process/production order is released inspection lot of 04 is created immediatly.

WHen it is confirmed stock is increased & lot of 04 will become stock relevent.SO avoid taking UD of non stock relevent 04 inspection type till you confirm the order qty.

Means take UD & do stock posting of the lot only after confirmation of order.it can be put into unrestricted only through inspection lot.
