Subreport data is cached if it is refreshed in Crystal Report Viewer

Open a report with subreport and parameter in Crystal Report Viewer, if I click the parameter tab, change the parameter value and click apply. Then the report data will be refreshed.

However, I found that, if I

1. open a report in crystal report viewer with parameter "ABC"

2. then change the parameter to "DEF" and click apply. Report is refreshed. Both main report and subreport showing correct value.

3. try to update the value in database related to "ABC" and commit.

4. change the parameter back to "ABC" and click apply. Only the data in Main Report is refreshed with latest value, but subreport is showing the previous value.

I have the same problem but is only occurring when I view the report via Web Crystal Reports Viewer. If I run the same report through Preview within Crystal Reports Developer V2008, it works fine.

I believe the problem is with the version of the web crystal report viewer. The report is initiated via a web application which uses Crystal Report for Java runtime components u2013 Java Reporting Component (JRC).

Has this problem been reported to SAP?

We have this problem also, is this a bug in the crystal report viewer?
