Adding standard fields to structure/iView

Hello,

Is there a way to identify as to which structures a new standard field may be added by configuration in T588MPROPC table versus which ones need customization? I see that several standard fields on various Infotypes even after being added to the PROPC table do not show up on custom extension fields. For example COM01 on IT6, KDSVH on IT21 etc. Even after adding these fields to the PROPC tables I do not see them show up on custom extension fields. Can these be added only via code changes? Or is it because we are on EhP 0?

We are on Version 600, EhP 0, SP 18 of BASIS and ABAP & SP 48 of HR**
