Batch Derivation Issue - Release Production Order

dvmo.pngHello,

I am performing Batch Derivation while Release of Production Order. Required Batch Derivation conditions set up for

HALB ->FERT for characteristic Date of Manufacture (HSDAT). Issue here is, the Date of Manufacture from HALB is not copied to the FERT batch, but is overwritten by the Production Order Creation Date.

When I go to transaction DVMO, FERT batch, the HSDAT is displayed same as in the date defined in the HALB material Batch.

But when I go to MSC3N for the FERT Batch the derived HSDAT doesnt appear but the creation date of the Production Order exists. Same is stored in MCH1 table as well.

It appears, the HSDAT field receipient date was overwritten by the date from Production Order.

Also I see, Overwrite Rule was broken when set Rules for the HSDAT field, when Rules were set for the Field in BDR1.

Could you help which would cause this overwriting of Dates while Batch Derivation.

Thanks.

I'm not sure.

But in your batch class, add the characteristic LOBM_HSDAT and LOBM_VFDAT to the batch class. Then retry it.

Look at the batch class change records. I find them more detailed and easier to read. Getting the order of the creation of the value as well as the change of the value along with the user ID, transaction, and times, might give you a better clue.

Are you sure derivation was actually overwritten? And that the derivation didn't happen because it already saw a value and no overwriting was allowed?
