BW Publishing service issue

Hi all,

We are facing issue with BW publishing service, the service stops automatically with following message.

"The service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance logs and alerts service."

Please advise.

Hi,

did you configure the details of the Publishing service in the registry ?

if so - can you poing the host name that you entered in the registry for the publishing service from the system ?

Hi Ingo,

Yes, we can ping Gwhost as stated in registary. Also registary entries are correctly stated as follows:

(Default) - (value not set)

Extra - Blank

GwHost - BO server with domain (pings successfully)

GwServ - 3300 (00 is BW instance)

MaxServers - 0x00000005(5)

MinAvailServers - 0x00000001(1)

PollingInterval - 0x0000001e(30)

ProgId - bw_publisher

Trace - No

Still BW_Publisher service automatically turns off when started.

Hi,

GwHost - BO server with domain (pings successfully)

the GW Host is your SAP BW system and the BusinessObjects serer. I would suggest you look at the Installation Guide for the SAP Integration Kit to see the details for those values.

Thanks, issue resolved.

This was GwHost issue, should be BW host name while I used BOE.
