All -

We are on Solution manager 7.1 and use CHaRM for change control. ChaRM is using standard workflows from 7.1, little changes have been done to the standard workflows, there is some custom development and ChaRM configuration.

Now we are planning to upgrade to Solution manager 7.2. I saw that chaRM in 7.2 has lot of changes.

What happens to our existing ChaRM setup when we upgrade ? What all things we need to consider and plan ahead of time for upgrade to 7.2 ?

We appreciate all the help and support.

Thanks.

Hi Lee,

It is not so easy for sure but not as difficult as compared to Solman 7.0 to 7.1 upgrade because transaction types etc remain the same.

However there is a new business role and old one can't be updated automatically so lot of configuration needs to be done for sure

First after completing your technical upgrade you need to run Content Activation - >charm

Secondly run solman_setup ChaRM wizrad you will notice the yellow indicator especially for BW part etc.

Third, incase of integration with other areas you need to first repeat above steps and set them up as well.

Finally test it completely as per your above setup

do check below link because it will clarify lot of your doubts before hand.

Hope it clarifies and helps

Thanks
