KPI Annotation can only be maintained as a front end annotation

Hi Hussain,

There is an alternate to this and it worked for me. You can also create charts directly from manifest.json file. Just copy and paste one of your normal charts (Analytics chart) and not Line Chart and update below mentioned two lines.

Ofcourse the chart will not be available only with these two lines, you also need to update details in Annotations.xml file.

Below is annotation file for reference only.

Below is output with KPI:

Thanks-

Abhishek

ChartAnnotations are allowed with CDS views KPI Annotations as part of the front end annotations.

You can find a list of all CDS Annotations https://help.sap.com/viewer/dd104a87ab9249968e6279e61378ff66/11.0.7/en-US/630ce9b386b84e80bfade96779...

Hi prasita.prabhakaran

Is it sufficient to define a KPI annotation and chart annotation to create a chart?

Ideal will be to make use of UI.KPI with the KPI.detail-->PresentationVariant-->Visualization pointing to the chart annotation
