Email Confirmation Process

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the email Confirmation Process.

We are trying to send Confirmation emails to our customers using Sap Marketing (SAP on Prem 1809)

We have created the Confirmations, activated them and we have also created Confirmation Emails (that are based on the Email Option interaction).

SAP Marketing is integrated with SAP Commerce for this scenario.

Here goes the scenario.

The user logs in, and has to give email permission in the webshop. After giving the email permission (MKT_PERM_OPTIN) the interaction is sent to Marketing and it is visible on the Contacts factsheet. However, no confirmation email is being sent. Does this mean, confirmation emails cannot be used in this business scenario?

In addition, does this mean that we have to create a landing page, and only through this landing page we can send a confirmation email?

I see there is an option of creating a trigger based campaign with this trigger, but I was thinking if SAP Marketing already has an implemented solution for this situation. (Just sending an email once, when the user has given us permission to contact him).

We want to avoid the contact being contacted again, if he revokes the permission and opts in again.

Has anyone had a similar scenario?

Dear Cupic,

Yes, you have to use the LP option for confirmations!

As I read the details above, you've got the correct understanding on this already.
