SAP Business Client 6.0 - future direction

Former Member

Hi,

can anybody tell me whats the future direction of the SAP Business Client? Its possible to use Fiori Launchpad Connections through the business client. The Support of HTML5 within the Internet Explorer is less good than with Google Chrome. Actually the Business Client builds on the Internet Explorer an that´s not changeable.

Which Client is recommended for using SAP S/4 Hana 1610?

What´s the reason why the quicklaunch is not working within a Fiori Launchpad Connection?

When should I use the Fiori Launchpad connection in the Business Client?

In my understanding the Business Client closes the gap between using different technologies.

The cooperation of the Fiori Launchpad an the Business Client is not entirely conclusive for me, because there are too much representation errors due to the restricted html5 support of the Internet Explorer.

I need conclusive reasons for using the Business Client with an SAP S/4HANA 1610 System.

The new "sap_belize" Theme does not support any adjustments for the SAP Business Client like the latest "Blue_crystal". What does that mean?

Thank you for your support

Hi Maik,

Note: Information is out of date.

See: https://blogs.sap.com/2019/02/25/sap-business-client-7.0/

the future direction of SAP is Fiori. So the future direction for SAP BC is Fiori.

FLP is the recommended client for 1610! Depending on your GUI/WDA footprint you'll chose SAP BC.

other Q: 1, be patient and wait for our next release 6.5 (~ May 2017), 2, to benefit form the great FLP user expirience!, 3, Yes. Absolutely.

Do you have a practical example for those errors?

For a full, native Belize experience wait for SAP GUI for Windows 7.50 / Business Client 6.5.

And have a look at the roadmap:

Regards,

Sandra
