Have typical SAP landscape( Golden/Dev/Test clients) in development system.

1. Developed all repository objects in dev client and captured in transport.

2. In SPRO, Activating gateway services, SAP Gateway to SAP system, SAP gateway settings(SAP gateway alias - GW_hub) are implemented in Test client.

3. In SICF, activated node in test client as well.

Tested services fine and transports moved to ECQ. then we had to activate services in ECQ. I am not able to register service in Dev client and not able to capture to a transport as GW_hub is maintained in Test client.

My question is step 2 and 3 is done in Test or Dev client?

Hi Indra,

Steps to Assign and activate the GW services after transporting:

1. Check whether the TR's transported properly or not.

2. GOTO /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE tcode, select your service for which you want to activate and assign system alias.

3. Click on IFC Node --> Activate which is located at left bottom corner.

4. Click on add system alias in the right corner and assign system alias.

5. Lock System alias - https://answers.sap.com/questions/49923/how-can-i-use-system-from-dev-to-qa.html

Thanks,

Lokeswar.

Hi Indira,

Check your system alias configuration that you are using when you try to register the service, it might be pointing to wrong client.

if it is developed in development client then it should be available in the target system , check SPRO in ECQ if its not there do it in dev client and re-transport.

Best Regards,
