ESS 1.31 - Create Travel Expense Report - Cancel button opens new window

Hello,

we're on NW 7.0 EhP1 using ESS 1.31 with ERP EhP3 and I'd like to use travel management.

Everything works fine but the iView Create Expense Report (WD ABAP) causes problems.

With Internet Explorer and Firefox pressing the cancel button inside the 2nd navigation step (after choosing the type of expense report) opens a new browser window which shows the preceeding area page. I actually expect it to return to the area page within the same window.

The portal and the ERP are in the same domain with FQN as well as in the intranet security zone of IE.

Any ideas how to avoid this reaction?

Kind regards

Stefan

Sounds like workprotect mode to me. I've seen it quite often with the ESS webdynpros where it thinks that there is unsaved data on the page so opens any new navigation in a new window.

You can turn it off in system admin -> system config -> service configuration. It is com.sap.portal.epcfloader. Set workprotect mode default to 2.
