hi,

if all are different materials, i dont think it is possible to create only 1 inspection lot as inspection lot will be created for 1 material.

Dear Arun,

If one PO has 10 different line items (material) and you have activated QM view to all 10 items then when you do GR no doubt there will be to lots generated.

Please understand the requirement again from client, how can different materials generate one lot?? in actual domain practice also the insection is done differently for different material.

It is possible to create single inspection lot for single material but having multiple GR's against same PO.

Hi,

In material master u2013QM view u2013Inspection set up u2013 select 01 inspection type u2013where you can find tab control inspection lot-select option for each purchase order item, batch ,storage location. Or each material ,batch storage location.

Then try I think it will work for you.

I am not sure if all line item is of different material code. Just check it.

Sorry. In SAP incoming inspection are driven by the material numbers.

If QM is on for the material, you will get an inspection lot. If you have ten different materials in a Purchase order and all ten require inspection then you will get ten inspection lots.

That is the way it is.

You could use a user exit to determine if an inspection lot for the PO has been created for the purchase order already and suppress the creation of any additional ones if you want. But the one created will be for the first material in the purchase order, not the receipt itself.
