Scheduling of OS commands/programs with free CPS

We are looking into implementing the free version of Redwood CPS on our Production system. We currently have batch jobs that run OS commands and programs. Since the free version of CPS does not allow the running of non-SAP programs, what will happen to these jobs?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you control those batch programs and commands through SAP now, those jobs will still be supported through CPS. Look into the usage of template job definitions SAP_ExternalProgramRun and SAP_ExternalCommandRun.

Thanks Gerben. Then what limitations does the free CPS have? We are still able to schedule OS commands, but not programs in other non-SAP boxes?

That's it. You can only install Process Servers that connect to SAP systems, not ones that connect to the servers itself.
