MIC creation at client level

Hi, Pls advise how to create qs21 MIC at client level or company code level? we created MIC at plant level and linked with class characteristics in qs21 screen. when we want to create same mic with linking to same class characteristics in different plant, system giving the message that it is already linked in plantxxx. to avaoid creation of mic and class characteristics at plant level, we need to create both of them at company code level or clent level. any suggestion to handle this. thank you.

Hi,

Creation of MIC is at plant level .Also you can assign 1 class characteristic to only 1 MIC.

So to avoid creating so many MIC you can use same MIC across the all plant. with your desire class characteristic.

Just create MIC at plant say 1000 & use it to all plants inspection plan.

You can use material specification that is QS61.it is client level charact.

Hello Yadav,

MICs are created at Plant level but it can be used cross plant, I mean an MIC created in Plant X can be used in the inspection plan created for Plant Y also.

So far the concern regarding the Link of Characteristic with any MIC, as per best of my information, it is one to one I mean a characteristic linked with an MIC can't be linked other MIC.
