I have created an external command that runs a PowerShell script that makes an SSH connection to a R Server running on Linux and then runs an RScript command to execute a saved R script.
I am able to run the command from PowerShell successfully but when running it within Predictive Factory it starts running and it never shows complete.
I do not get an error and I do not see anything registered in the logs.
Are there requirements of what must be included in the PowerShell script to indicate the completion of the R session ot SSH session? Does data or some other information need to be returned by the External Command to Predictive Factory in order for it to know it has finished? I ask because my current R script does not operate on a dataset. It is just a command that would complete in R, like a Hello World type of scenario.
It does seem to trigger PowerShell and make the SSH connection. I get no feedback from Predictive Factory to let me know if its attempting the R script or not. It should only take a couple of seconds to run but the task ultimately just hangs and I end up having to restart Predictive Factory to get the running task to stop.
My goal is to verify I can run a basic R Script via a SSH session that is called by a PowerShell script and then executed via External Command within Predictive Factory. Once I can verify that, then my plan is to move onto a real/more complex R script.
