Classic report templates - multiple tabs not refreshing properly

Has anyone found that the classic report templates in version 7 will only allow one tab to update properly? We have tried multiple tabs with different "hard coded" dimension values but only one set of dimension values will update. The other tabs will only update to the current view or the controlling tab dimension values. This has not been a problem in version 4 or 5.

Hi Cary Schulz,

- When you say classic templates, do you mean the standard dynamic reports, which does not use EVDRE

-Check if the parameters in control pannel area of all the sheets is impacted by changing the parameters in one sheet.

-In the Work Book options, check if Expand by workSheet is checked. If so remove that, so that your complet Workbook expands on Expanding

Hi Cary,

By tabs, do you mean different sheets in the same workbook?

In the library of the dynamic templates, we usually have only one sheet per workbook. However, when a report is expaded, all the expansions are expanded, across the sheets.

If you can kindly elaborate on your finding.

Yes - this is not EVDRE and each sheet in the workbook has its own control panel area. Only one control panel operates all the sheets. We cannot make the sheets operate independently.

Hi,

By default, the last CV will apply to all the workbooks and worksheets. So, if in the first sheet, if the CV has member for the account dimension as ACC1, then while expanding, the same member will apply to the other sheets / books also. In order to outcome this, you need to fix the members for any other book. There is an option for doing so in the action pane, by which you can fix the CV of a particular book.

Hope this helps.
