BW/4 In-Place Conversion - 3.x query migration supported by any tool?

Hi Folks,

I got a question about the BW/4 In-Place Conversion related to 3.x queries.

In conversion guide it is stated that 3.x Queries are converted using task list (when switching to B4H mode).

Can somebody explain what that means?

a) are 3.x queries converted into 7.x by tool / automatically or

b) I get a list of all 3.x queries and need to migrate manually?

Thanks for clarifications in advance.

Best regards,

Axel

Hi Axel,

The "simplification list for BW4" says the following :

"When executing the switch to "B4H Mode", the system will check and generate all BW queries. Queries in 3.x format will be automatically adjusted to 7.x format. Queries that are inconsistent (i.e. cannot be read) or raise errors during generation have to be adjusted manually or will be deleted automatically."

Frédéric
