How to access Bex Web analyzer from BW portal

Dear,

We have upgraded our system from 3.x to 7.0 and we would like our users to access the queries and be able to perform Ad-hoc analysis via the BW portal.

I am not able to find a way in which I can get the "BI Reporting" tab in the Portal so that the users can access the Queries which normally they would do by logging into BEX Analyzer (the 3.x version).

Is there any roles that needs to be imported into the Portal or something similar.

Hello Singh.

If you want to call the BEx Web Analyzer via Portal, you have to cerate a View to template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.

The 0ADHOC template is a 3.x template, so will not works.

Also, there is another ways:

GO to RSRT2 transaction.

Insert the query's technical name

click on JAVA WEB button.

Then, the BEx Web analyzer will starts.

Also, you can access directly via URL:

http://<YOUR_PORTAL_SERVER>:<TCP_PORTAL>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.s...

Hi,

You will need to have the BI roles in the portal:

1 Business Explorer

com.sap.ip.bi.business_explorer_showcase

2 Business Intelligence

com.sap.ip.bi.bi_showcase

After which you will see the following functionality in the BI tab:

My Portfolio

My portfolio displays your personal BEx documents. Under my portfolio, various Knowledge Management functions are available for working with your documents. You can add ratings, evaluations, feedback and/or personal notes to documents.

BEx Broadcaster

Using the BEx Broadcaster, you can precalculate and distribute Web templates, queries, query views and workbooks. You can distribute these reporting objects either in precalculated form or as an online link. Your distribution options include sending by e-mail or exporting into the enterprise portal

BEx Portfolio

BEx Portfolio displays your public documents. Under BEx Portfolio, various Knowledge Management functions are available for working with your documents. You can add ratings, evaluations, feedback and/or personal notes to documents.

Universal Worklist

The universal worklist allows you to manage your work by bringing together assignments from different workflow systems, including workflow, alerts, KM notifications and collaboration tasks. Here you can display and work with alerts (among other things) that are generated with the BEx Broadcaster and distributed to the universal worklist.

Collaborative BI

Hi,

Remeber that migrate the enviroment not migrate the queries, workbooks or dataflow. You need to migrate these components too.

To do Ad-hoc reports with Analyzer 7.0 you have the infocubes availables, via web Analyzer 7.0 i don't know how it works.
