Series Authorization (Group)

Hi All,

I have created four different series for authorization. The requirement is to display only one series for a particular user. Let's say that the series which i want to be default for a user, i have kept that in GROUP 3.

Now when i go to authorization, I select the user and give him authorization for only group 3. But when i log in with the user, and try to open the inventory transfer doc, he system asks to define numberin series.

How do i achieve this?

Hi!

In addition to that, you need to set the Series as Default to that user. You have to do this in Document Numbering Series window by Clicking the particular series and click on default series, mark tht series as default to the user.

u need to go to the administration -system initialization-document number- then u have to make the document as "DEFAULT FOR CERTAIN USER" and then select the user name. then go to authorization screen then from the authorization screen select administration-system initialization-series and define the series authorization

then once u open the user account where u have putten the authorization u would definately be able to open the document without receiving any error message

please also selct the appropriate period indicator for posting period from the droup down in document series window

You should define the series as default series for the user.

(On the series setup window highlight the line for the series, click on the Set as Default and the opening window choose Set as default for certain users.)

Hi Istvan and Thanga,

I have set the series default for that user.

The requirement is that, he should not be able to add any of the document in case if he selects any other series. Only the series which is set as default should be visible.

I guess this can be achieved by authorizations but i am unable to do so. Please let me know what step am I missing?
