I am ABAP certified consultant with 4.5 years of experience.

I would like to scale myself in terms of skill and update myself on new module that are related and scalable in future.

I have very good knowledge on PS & APO.

could anyone please recommend me, which is the better module(PS or APO) where there are more learning and oppurtunities on a newer platform.

Thanks In advance,

    Hi,

It is not easy to say whther it PS or APO is better for you.

Please note that SCM APO has many modules as below:

    Demand Planning (DP)

    Supply Network Planning(SNP)

    Global Available to PromiseGATP)

Production planning & Detailed scheduling (PPDS)

    Service Parts Planning (SPP)

Transportation Planning & vehicle Scheduling (TPVS).

I have some exposure to SAP PS module.

If I am not exaggerating, then I can say that PS module may equivalent to one of the above APO module like DP or SNP.

Therefore becoming expert in all the modules of APO is going to be difficult ( I do not want to under estimate your potential to learn).

I can personally say that you may better opt for SAP PS.

SAP PS has also good scope like APO and other modules liike SAP PP, PM, SD etc.

SAP ERP conventional modules like PP, MM, FI, CO also seem to have constant demand, because SAP ERP base is expanding.

I hope this answers your question.

    Please confirm.

    Regards

    Datta

      Hi Devasish

Good to know your desire to learn new things.

Taking into consideration your strong ABAP skills, I think APO Supply Network Collaboratio (SNC) will be good component for you.

There is very good demand for this SCM component and some technical skills are also desirable.

      I hope this helps you.

      Regards
