Hi All,
When we installed BPC 7.0 MS version, we have Office 2003. Now, we installed Office 2007.
Do we have to make any changes or configuration on BPC side to work Office functionality since it is migrated from 2003 to 07??
Thank you,
Raju

Hi Raju,
From the installation guide, there is one component specific to Office 2007.
In order for the software to function correctly in Excel 2007, you must install the Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider, which you can get from the Microsoft web site. The provider must be installed on the Application server.
On your Application server, install the Microsoft Office 2007 system driver Data Connectivity Components to import data with an Excel 2007 / Access 2007 file. An Excel 2007 file format (xlsx) and an Access 2007 (accdb) file format can be handled only by the 2007 Office system driver. You can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7554F536-8C28-4598-9B72-EF94E038C891&Displa.... See SAP Note 1289927.
Thanks,
Scott

Thanks for your quick responses.
Hi Scott,
I have checked the Application Server - as you mentioned, both of them Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 and Microsoft Office 2007 system driver Data Connectivity Components are already installed. So, I think we are good at that.
Is there anything that we need to install or configure on Database side or BPC Client side?? or Thats all??
Thanks again!!
Raju

Except that Office connectivity patch installation you don't have to do anything else for upgrade from Office 2003 to 2007.

Hi Raju,
I think better you update SAP BPC 7.0 using SP7 (Lastest Version) and don't forget to update the client side.
All Configuration should be ok.
Thanks,
Ari
