How to convert Time Based Maintenance Plan to Performance Based MP.

Dear Experts,

Is it possible to convert all the Maint. Plan based on time calendar to performance (counter) based MP.

This is to be done mass transfer.

1. Extract all the Maintenence Plan (presently Time based)

2. Create new Counter based Maint. Plan. using some information from the above extracted file.

3. Upload of these planes (can we use IBIP or any program to write)

4. Deactivate the old Maint. Plan.

Could you please guide me how to start on this.

I think I need to create following data in hand before doing it:

A new strategy a general task list.

Measuring point with counter and assign it to Function location.

Please let me know what are the steps to be followed.

Ganesh,

You seem to have all the steps right.

Have a Look at transaction IBIP and standard list edit transactions for MP.This would have all the programs that are needs to be executed for your scenario (Except maybe the last step of de-activating the existing MP).
