Hello everyone
My question is about EWM...
I have a material named "X", managed with serial numbers, type C: this is, "Serial Number Requirement" --> "Serial Numbers in Inventory Management". This is an express requirement of the client and I cannot change it.
Also, I have two outbound deliveries with 1 unit each of product "X"
"Of course", I have activated two-step Picking
In the first picking step, withdrawal, I have a WT in which I do a partial extraction of 2 UN of the material X.
This it forces me to read yes or yes the 2 serial numbers that I take to the intermediate location: two-step Picking...
Obviously, in the intermediate location, I will have to read them again to distribute them between the two deliveries to serve ...
My question is: How can I avoid having to read the serial numbers already in the first step of Picking? Is there any way to avoid it if the material has "Serial Number Requirement" --> "Serial Numbers in Inventory Management"?
Thank you in advance
Hi,
"How can I avoid having to read the serial numbers already in the first step of Picking?"
There is of course no way to avoid this if you have serial number requirement C and when picking only a partial quantity. Doesn't matter if it is a direct picking or two-step picking.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
