How do I restrict marketing permission edit access in C4C

I want to be able to have users see a contact's marketing permissions, but a limited number of people to be able to edit them.

There does not seem to be a way to do this in authorizations, so I tried in Page Layouts. I thought I had this but no it was not working. Now I have been on holiday and I cannot remember what I did with this.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Hello Edna,

Hide "The Actions" Column in the Marketing permission section from a Page layout and assign the layout to the business role of the Users who doesn't have to edit the permissions.

Arun

Thanks for that Arun.

That is what I did prior to our break.

However it did not work as expected. Our users have more than one business role allocated to them. Does this have to be done for all of the roles for it to work? I did this for only one role but the test user still had the edit access.

Hello Edna,

This will be a problem only if the other business roles have another page layout assigned to them. Ideally, if only one role has a page layout assigned, the page layout should be applied to the user.

Note that here you are only controlling the visibility and not the Access.

Arun
