Hello:
An SAP Business One client of ours has chosen Moving Average for its items' Valuation Method.
At the same time, though, they want to be able to track Standard Cost in Purchasing where the Goods Received Not Invoiced account is used and a variance between actual cost and standard cost is derived.
If the valuation method is Moving Average, how can you also generate Standard Cost?
Thanks!
John
Hello John - have never heard of mixing Item Valuation in SAP B1 - it is either or. Could get very confusing and maybe even be out of balance with the Inventory Audit Report and GL Accounts along the way...
However, an alternative might be to set up a Price List to be "Standard Cost" or a UDF to hold the "Standard Cost" and you can do an SQL to give them the variance information they need.
