CS71 BOM Creation- User Profile/ Authorization error

While executing CS71 transaction I am getting authorization related error due to which I am not able to create WBS BOM. Error screen displays-

*"You are not authorized to create this BOM*

*Message no. 29023*

*Diagnosis*

*Your user profile contains details of all BOM transactions you are allowed to carry out. This authorization is further defined in your user profile via combinations of field values for BOM usage and authorization group.*

*Your current user profile does not authorize you to create BOMs.*

*Procedure*

*Consult your system manager responsible for authorizations. The value range in your user profile may need to be changed.*

*If no change to your user profile is planned, inform your system manager responsible for BOM maintenance."*

I have already maintained authorization groups "C_STUE_BER" & "C_STUE_NOH" in the concerned role.

Do I need to maintain few specific Parameter id in user profile ?? if yes then which ones to maintain ?

Check out the authorisation profile SAP_PP_MRP_MASTER_DATA

In this under Production Planning > CS BOM authorisations > you cna see BOM authorisation group and BOM usage. Insert appropriate values and assign the role to your user ID.

This particluar authorisation for BOM maintanenance comes under PP master data.

Hi Mahendra,

Authorizaton object of CS BOM authorisations is C_STUE_BER, which I have already maintained in relevant role.

For your more information I have maintained value as * for Authorization Group and BOM Usage.

Is there something else I am missing ?

What about the BOM Category ? Have you chosen WBS BOM in the BOM category.

Check out the MRP_MasterData related authorisation profile in PFCG transaction. In that, choose authorisation objects under PP, in the same you can see the BOM creation, change transaction objects. In the objects mentioned, you can see the various parameter for which you want to maitain BOM such as: BOM usage, BOM category, Plant etc. Take BASIS consultantwith you to solve this issue.
