Hope all you are doing well
I have a very small problem which is when i am trying to select the task list from maintenance plan through search botton, i am selcting the equipment task list tick but when i am giving the equipment no for which i am making a plan so in the below section where we have Release and status there i am getting the default value 2, as for that task list it is set 4 for both, and i dont want any values while selction.Is that defaulted somewhere in transaction, suggest solution for this for removing it.

Dear Rip,
There is no harm in the value in the status as 2. it stands for released for order TL.
But if u maintaines 4 in the task list status then also it will appear here as 4 stands for release for general.
It is must to have the status as 2 in gray mode then only there is significance of setting the status.
Hope your point is clear.

My problem not solved,
I have already created the equipment task list and when ever i am adding it for the same equipment in maintenance plan then its not getting executed, and when i am trying to view it through change mode its getting displayed in change mode for the same equipment, can we discuss for this?

Hi Ripel,
Even if you create a equipment task list with status as 4 it will get appeared in task list selection.
If you have created only one equipment task list, then it will be added directly to maintenance plan.
Also remember that even though you created a task list for equipment name, it will be generated with Group Number & Counter number. Request you to check the task list group number and counter number in change mode (IA02) and see for the same whether it really does not appear in task list selection list or not.

I have created the task list with status 4, but the issue is when i am clicking on search button in maintenance plan for task list i am getting the screen where status and usage is coming as 2 by default all the time and which is not editable, why this is coming that is the actual prob. (As in created task list usage and status is 4).

Hi Rip,
As mentioned eailier the default 2 which is not editable wont restrict your task list selection. At top just select the correct option of task list type (general, FL or Equp) and then execute the report. Your task list with status 4 will also come in list (also check in out put your filter and hidden fields if u dont get your task list).
In SAP there is no setting to remove that grey out field.

To solve your problem.
Go to maintenance plan Create/chage. Give the required mandatory data as input. Then go to that task list section. select that search button. Once you select that display task list screen will open.
Now select GO To >>> Vairants >>> Get Varirants.
You will get SAP default variants
SAP_TCODE_IA08
SAP_TCODE_IA09
Select any one and then all those grey fields will go off.
